Any interest is strictly rectangular bezel designs?

Howdy, all. First time poster, here... I recall my Dad had a dress watch that was almost straight-edged rectangular when viewing the face, but had a wrist-fitting curve when viewed from the side. It was gold-toned (plated or alloy, I don't know). I can't recall if the numbers were pips, or arabic, or roman, if it had a bracelet or strap, and I don't recall the brand. For me, it's more about that classic shape. The very few rectangular watches I've seen in Drop have all had curved sides - when viewed face-on, and very modern styling. Is anyone else interested in a seeing a classically styled automatic in Drop similar to what my Dad had?

The rectangular style is usually called "tank" or "tanque". It does however include those kinds that curve outward a bit on the sides. I like them, but visually on the wrist they will look oversized compared to the actual dimensions. They style has fallen from popularity since the 1950's and never became retro-cool stylish again. A niche design today. Actually in the 1970's the aspect ratio changed from vertical to more horizontal design for a while.

BF_HammerInteresting - and thanks for replying. The watch my Dad had was not at all large. It was thin and neither wide nor overly "long"/"tall". I'll have to do some research and see if I can find an image to post. Perhaps using those terms might help. Stay well!
