ARSDThis was my first piece of dedicated audio equipment, so my references are onboard DACs from my 10yo desktop and 5yo laptop.
It is better than those, the ones I notice are:
- better low end response, bass seems a little more impactful
- more volume headroom, my laptop outputted just about enough at max volume
- slightly wider soundstage
- feels like better dynamic range at low volumes, as music only seemed to sound decent at halft tilt or more on my desktop.
