There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). https://www.zodiacwatches.com/pages/limited-edition-gmt?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=eml&utm_campaign=20200710_US_ZOD_GMTTease Well guess which colors Zodiac's IG followers chose? Yes, overwhelmingly--orange and white won the day. Technically though, Zodiac is calling those colors Sherbet Orange and Creme. I don't know about you, but in that context, it kind of sounds like a Creamsicle, and who can resist one of those? From what I can see of it on their website, I kind of like it. No idea what the price will be but I'm sure we'll find out Thursday. I'm going to guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,700. What's your guess? What do you think of the color combination? On a side note, maybe you're like me, and don't mind Orange and White watches, but aren't crazy about the combination of ORANGE in the WHITE HOUSE? Well if that’s the case, I'd like to encourage you to VOTE this coming November--and in order to vote, you must be registered, so yes, that's a hint. Of course if you're not a US citizen, I'd encourage you to cast an imaginary vote (like those of the 3 million imaginary illegal aliens you-know-who said voted in California last election). Strictly speaking, your imaginary vote won't count, but it will create some much appreciated, good Karma ;- )
