Two things I've noticed since I started wearing my new Glycine Combat 6: First, because the hands are are highly polished, they almost disappear against the black dial when light isn't falling directly on them and second, Plymouth Gin is far superior to every other gin I've tasted--and I've tasted several. If you haven't already, I recommend you buy the watch and the gin ;- )

Didn’t know you had a glycine, that’s nice. I’ve been staying away from them for whatever reason.

Hewitt29 I just got it, and yes, I was staying away from them too. No particular reason, it was just that I couldn't find one I was that crazy about. I found their site kind of overwhelming--so many models with nearly indistinguishable variations, bunches of case sizes, etc... Then there was all the confusion with the new logo vs the old logo, and ETA movements vs Selita, 12hr vs 24hr dials--seemed like more trouble than it was worth! Eventually, I did grow to like this particular model, and when the drop showed up again (for the zillionth time), I started comparing sites and prices (and after some BS with my favorite moderator), decided to save thirty bucks and a month of waiting, and order it from Jomashop. After wearing for a few days I'm pretty impressed; accuracy, good; fit and finish, good; and looks nice on the wrist. Don't know about the rest, but I can recommend this one. There's another model I like too--looks similar; same case, black dial, but with Arabic numerals and was sold on an olive-green NATO strap. Unfortunately, it appears to be discontinued, and the few I could find on line were selling for twice what I paid for this one. Hope one day they'll re issue it.

RayFFirst I’m happy you found one that you like !! now, I have to tell you, I have been feeling exactly the same way about Glycine for a while. Too many similar models and the whole logo saga was just too much. I will still stay away from them but this one being different from all of their Diver models seems to be a good pick. Well done 👍

aluxnahual Thanks! Yeah, I know more about gin than watches, but MD ditched the Liquor Community a while back. Damn shame too.

Seems I might remember that stuff from the old days, but I don't think it's as common as it used to be.
