If it sticks and doesn't need adjustments after awhile then hotswap.

Hotswap. So many new switches coming out. It just makes it so much easier to try them. If you're coming out with a premium PCB, it really should included hot swap. The only reason I would go with soldered is if it's cheap or small, like a sideboard, ten key, macro board, etc.

Soldered for main everyday use with my favorite switch, hotswap for side keyboards.

Hot swap only for me. At this point boards that need soldering are kind of old tech now when you think about it.

dion4037I think hotswap is great for figuring out what you like, but nothing sounds more solid and lasts longer than a soldered board. Soldered boards also have more layout options. But like I said, it's only good if you know what you like. Having to solder and de-solder because you don't know your switch preference or layout preference quite yet is definitely a bummer.
