I know these sound amazing, but they look so beautiful in this photo! 2nd from the right is an EMU… teak? Or Bamboo?

EvshrugYes 2nd to the right are E-Mu Teak! These are Bamboo cups (had them on D2000): https://drop.com/talk/46040/close-up-of-bamboo-cup

How are the mahogany's compared to the Bamboo eemu?
Good call on checking the second hand market. Drop isn’t currently stocking Fostex headphones, but I really enjoy their products and would love the chance to work with them since I started consulting for Drop. I may have to pick up an EMU Teak, though it seems Hyde preferred the Bamboo model a little bit!

Evshruglol I definitely think it's a preference thing, so many people prefer E-Mu Teak over TH-X00. I think both are good but TH-X00's vocal presentation is more forward for me, and I like forward vocal. TH-X00 also feels a bit cleaner for me, E-Mu Teak feel slightly like information overload (too much mids?). I think Bamboo cup is somewhat in the middle in terms of sound. But TH-X00 being "w shaped" having some breather room so it's easier to hear some notes. E-Mu Teak filled the hole a bit more so there's slightly less contrast between notes. Though now I'm using Lawton TH900, was using D5200 before this. :P
