Purchasing cables for the SHP9500

more_vert
EDIT: The headphones allow for detaching the cable, so a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male is the type of cable I would need Hi there, a week ago I received my Philip's SHP9500 headphones and so far I love them, except for the extremely long and quite frankly, sub-par cable. By sub-par I mean that it feels cheap and it tangles easily and I'm just counting the days until it gets stuck in the wheels of my chair. So I have but one question, Where do you usually buy your cables? I'm looking for suggestions, preferably not Amazon and if possible, nothing DIY as I don't own any soldering equipment to make my own cables. Thanks in advance

I recommend Choseal Headphone Extension cable. While low-cost (currently $4 at Amazon you love so much) it is of much higher quality than MediaBridge or Belkin cables that I have. Not only it has a 'feel' of a better made cable, but sound quality is much better as well - not quite as good as proper PCOCC cable, but for OFC cable I found it to be surprisingly good with my pair of SHP9500. Mind you, I bought mine 5 years ago at 3x the current price, so it is possible that current generation is not same as it used to be.

Hart audio cables or Periapat. Hart's are a little less heavy, and cheaper, but both are good.
