Ka-Bar on Corregidor Island

Had to settle for a folding knife because I couldn't bring my full Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife which my cadets gave me some years back 🤣 The Ka-Bar M98 folder is a beast of a knife. The M98 comes in at 5oz with an unimpressive 5Cr15MoV blade on nylon washers and full G-10 handles. Honestly, the I bought the M98 for purely for the knife's aesthetic--a homage to Ka-Bar's fighting knives. The knife is functional but heavy and the clip appears to be a generic, three-screw, shallow carry China-made knife clip. 5Cr15MoV is definitely nothing to write home about but is serviceable. Fun fact, the 4th Marine Regiment fought in the defense of Corregidor in 1942.

Very cool, I hope to get there one day. My grandfather jumped on Corregidor with the 503rd RCT.

SargeIIHe was part of the 161ST Airborne Engineers. I am glad you Grand Father made it. It's hard to imagine the atrocities.
