I am planning to buy a drop alt but am unsure of the switches I should choose. My keyboard would be primarily for gaming but also some typing. I would also prefer a quieter noise as to not create noise through my microphone when playing with people. It seems to me like the MX Browns are a good choice but I have seen that the Halo Clears might be better? I am still a beginner around keyboards so suggestions would be very much appreciated.
This is a long time since the last post! And finally I sorted out all the problems, come up with the 4th version of the Space Trek prototype. Hopefully, you will like it.
This is a special flip paint which originally use on cars, I did a special coating at the bottom to gives better adhesion. Apart from that, I also did a "Graphene" coating on top to gives more protection on the paint, which can avoid some little scratch.
The project is not finish, yet! I still got some improvement to do before it launch. And will post some update later on.
Thank you for your reading, please do not hesitate to leave me your comments.
So i have my Drop ALT for quite sometime now and it really is great but i never new you could actually costumize it. So i wanted to try it, but the file doesnt get encouded and i cant open it somehow can somebody help me. I live in Germany btw maybe it has something to do with that?
I'm writing this post to gauge how others would feel if the current CTRL/ALT PCB's where updated to support 5-pin switches and potentially even holes for PCB mount stabilisers. I understand that if both 5-pin switch capabilities and PCB mount stabilisers where made available for the PCB there would need to be slight modifications made to the case of the particular keyboard, i will elaborate on my thoughts on this topic below. I have also heard issues with north facing LED's and getting some sort of interference when it comes to using certain switches with Cherry profile keycaps such as GMK, if anyone has encounter this please share in the comments below as i have personally not faced this issue on my CTRL.
I would love to see a new PCB be offered on the drop store for the CTRL and ALT that can be bought separately that supports both 5-pin switches and PCB-mount stabilisers. Extra cases and switches are offered as a stand alone product on the Drop Store and i feel like...
Zen pond iii – cherry circle of life artisan keycaps
More infomation & photos: https://www.jellykey.com/artisan-keycaps/zen-pond-iii
In the previous chapters of Zen Pond in Eden, we’ve learned the very basics about Koi in the Eden world, their origin, and how they can reincarnate from carps, only to be born again in the form of Koi fish. They are seen as a symbol of the dragons’ calm after they finally gain a life purpose and quietly serve their lord. This mostly relates to the Zen status in the human mind when we look for peace and harmony in life.
eden is here to stay
All of that, is the Eastern myth. Here in the Eden world, things are a bit different. Or to be more exact, things just don’t stop there. As an extraordinarily divine creature in this magical world, Koi fishes can’t opt-out from being transformed into something even greater than they have already been. But the process only happens when these Koi reach 1000 years of age, a long enough time for them to...
Is there a Clicky Linear switch option for the Drop Alt?
I apparently have carpal tunnel in my left hand, possibly in addition to other issues in my left arm. After some research I think I need something like red linear switches because pressing my Razer Greens (roughly the same as clicky blue on other brands) is just too hard on my left arm now.
However, I both like the clicky sound and use it to help me type. From what Im reading Kailh Bronze is a linear switch but has a click sound. Im hoping this means its like a cherry MX red in terms of being easier to press but still makes the sound without causing additional force to actuate the key.
In short, does the Drop Alt come with an option on the Drop shop when I order it that is comparable to the kailh bronze, or otherwise something similar to a cherry MX red but one that still clicks without adding any more force to press the key?
EDIT: Decided not to take the chance it would sell out and ordered it with the silver linears. The pricing was better to just buy it prebuilt with the...
