r3ddIt’s actually not an aviator, but a lemo connector. It’s more sleek in its design, but even more than that it’s a much quicker way of connecting and disconnecting cables since aviators tend to have screw-on fasteners. If you have an extensive collection of boards using both USB-C and other connection types this allows you to more quickly swap them out. That said, they’re also much more expensive and what you’re paying for is really the looks and some of the convenience since most of the real-world benefits of a lemo connector will never be utilized by a mech enthusiast.
