How can I fix the GUI+ALT+ESC (when using GESC) Mac issue from the Drop keyboard configurator? I can use a curl command to input keys within the QMK library that aren't listed, but is doing something to the same effect as altering the config.h file mentioned below out the question?

If anyone's curious, I go through the different ways of customizing the firmware for any QMK-friendly keyboard here: https://drop.com/talk/51316/a-quick-crash-course-on-the-variety-of-ways-for-customization-of-updating-firmware-of-any-qmk-friend

So as a future reference, for anyone else that has a Mac with the same CMD-OPT-ESC issue, or on Windows, with the same CTRL-SHIFT-ESC issue, the result I've got is this As in the picture posted, several overrides can be defined as a fix in the config.h file, but the fix isn't possible via the configurator, since the API doesn't support changing config.h values (if you were to enable mouse keys, the rules.mk file would need changes in the same way, but this is also not possible from the API's setup). To fix this, unfortunately, one has to manually set up the config for your keyboard. When I do this, I will post the easiest way to accomplish this from Drop's configurator. The process seems a bit convoluted, but I've got a good feelin' that it'll benefit several individuals in the future.

Thank you! Very well written. And one last question, if I'm using Windows 10 OS what would be the easiest /preferred method of the 3? (I might have misread that, but just wanted to double check if those were more so for Mac users or everyone)

PhlookeI'm not a Windows user, but for the third method, you ought to be able to get everything to work by doing this: visit https://github.com/Massdrop/mdloader/releases and place the .exe and the .bin applet file in the same folder as your qmk_firmware directory (if you don't have it yet, it can be found at https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware, but you can delete a good portion of the files, such as keymaps for other keyboards if you're concerned about memory). The mdloader .exe and applet file will allow firmware to be flashed from the qmk_firmware directory. I'm not 100% sure on how to add in all the necessary command line tools to compile the firmware on Windows, but either the docs or the QMK Discord could answer it for you better than I could. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is a question for the QMK discord. Do you want a link?

erickongSure, that'd be great. I was curious about Drop's keyboard configurator, though. Is the config.h file out of reach when using it? I'm guessing I can't define things in the one that's used within Drop's keyboard configurator.
