Sennheiser PX 100

more_vert
I am new here and noticed Sennheiser is producing HD6xx for this group,... in fact I have ordered a pair. I would love to be able to buy the original Sennheiser PX 100 compact headphones. They sounded amazing and the replacement products have not been as good. How does this work?

I loved the px100 - II and I'm still searching a brand new or a used pair but the price on ebay still mad. The senn px100-II was the more comfortable, practice, best sounding little portable headphones I ever had. And I'm sad I didn't buy a second pair for backup. I'll be interesting for a drop version because the other option is the Koss Porta pro but I don't like that vintage design.

Not sure, but I think the HD100 is the replacement, it's available on Amazon. HD1XX would be cool, though.

JJDeviloperThe PX100 is open-back while the HD100 is closed back, so not exactly a like for like. Back to the OP, yeah the PX100 is a fun a little can. I still use mine from time to time. I never bothered to get the PX100-II's since it seemed that part of the upgrade was boosting the bass of the PX100's; the bass of the PX100 was fairly boosted already, moreso than the HD6XX for example.
