How do the HA-FW01 and the HA-FX850 compare to each other? I'm trying to decide between the 2.

Hi! Opinions on each model? Preference(S) Depending on your: mood, musical content type, etc? Also: How do the stack up for you from (obv great) as "baseline" upward to your "most" favorite?

VNTG-4UI actually upgraded to the HA-FW10000 somewhere along the way. I was happy with each of the wooden line when they were my best available, but it is rare that I go back to them for pure music needs once replaced. They often find their way being used on other electronics that do not do them justice (Quest 2, Nintendo Switch, etc.). Now that I've gone over the ear with the HA-FW10000, I prefer that. Fit and feel of the rest of the wooden line was pretty much the same. The swappable configuration of the HA-FDX1 is unique but the sound there never did much for me. Every time I listened to the HA-FDX1, I thought boy I wish this was one of the woodies instead. Not to say it is awful or anything, just that I know I have ones I prefer more within arms reach. On areas where I couldn't EQ it just felt hollow, lacking a low end that the wood line naturally has. With that said I'm not a bass head and normally EQ on my Cowon to pick the BBE Headphone version that keeps the bass from overwhelming for whatever headphones/IEMs I'm currently listening to. If you know you like their wooden line then target your price point and you'll be happy.
