Wrist Check

more_vert
Picked up this Invicta Pro Diver on Amazon prime day. I was wanting a mechanical watch to wear at work. However you may feel about Invicta, it'll make a great work watch. Didn't break the bank and won't break my heart when it gets scratched up.

It's a fine watch and anyone who says different can meet out behind the Gym at 3:30!

RayFJust curious, did you get a certificate of authenticity? Mine came in the standard yellow box with the Invicta logo embossed on the front. It had the plastic yellow hang tag with a qr code on the back (link to the Invicta website) and it had the little black booklet with the instructions and warranty (along with all the typical plastic wrapping). The watch itself looked legit too; logo stamped on the clasp and side of the case, good fit and finish, decent weight and signed crown. These were all mentioned elsewhere online as marks of authenticity. The only thing missing was an actual certificate of authenticity. It was sold and shipped directly from Amazon rather than a third party seller and I honestly didn't think fakes were even a thing in this price range, but apparently they're out there and that missing certificate has me wondering. Hoping its not a fake since I ordered a second one for my son as a Christmas gift. Professional opinion? Side note, I convinced 4 coworkers to order the same watch on Prime Day (it's fun to get friends into a shared hobby), and theirs all showed up exactly like mine.

Benslen15 I don't recall the certificate and I'm away from home at the moment so I can't check (unless that's what that black card in the background is in the first photo). That said, I wouldn't have paid any attention to one if I had seen it. Still remains hard for me to believe anyone would counterfeit an eighty-dollar watch, but if they did, I assume they'd also toss in a counterfeit Certificate of Authenticity, especially if they went to all the trouble of making the watch and the little yellow box along with it--would they not? I've purchased two of these over the years, both from Amazon, and have had no problems with either. I have no reason to believe they are anything but 100% Invicta (stuffed with the movements they buy from Seiko ;- ) In other words, I wouldn't be especially concerned if I were you. As to turning on others to the hobby/obsession of watches, I only hope they won't one day hold it against you!
