My Osprey Kestrel 38L pack finally gave up after 8 years of dedicated service (the internal waterproofing layer is disintegrating badly).
I had to press my get-home bag into an ultralight-ish backpack for a climb up Mt Batolusong/Rangyas Peak (Rising Rock, 883 MASL) and it actually worked out well.
I used my High Speed Gear M24P Daypack with a Voodoo Tactical Hydration pouch, Maxpedition round pouch (for headlamp), and a surplus USGI grenade pouch (for my Sawyer Mini Filter). The hydration pouch was small so I put 2L of water in my 3L Camelbak and then an extra 1L in a Platypus bottle. Overall a workable loadout, albeit a bit warm due to the lack of ventilation for the backpack.
I used to buy a ton of outdoor gear here. I find myself not able to anymore because there are so few drops! What happened to the outdoor community? Can we do anything to help bring it back? I don't want to see it go the way of a bunch of other favorite communities that got cut.
... and unknown brand knives!
Are we ever going to she the products that made us join (mass)Drop again? I really liked what you had here ... but with such a narrow selection of products I am unable to find anything to order any more.
