What is the best microphone for recording audio AND voice calls?
I'm looking to get a microphone for Christmas this year but I'm not sure what I should get, or where to even start. I need one that's good for singing and voice recording but can also be used for online calls and voice chat in video games.
What's a good mic that generally does both? Are there any huge differences between mics for recording vs. mics that are best for voice chat/calls? And what other supplies would you recommend?
My price range would be anywhere up to $300 or very slightly over.

Audio Technica makes some excellent microphones for your intended purpose. You may also be interested in their headsets for phone conversations. They have both open and closed-back models. Vocal clarity is excellent - I've been told by coworkers and friends.
