There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. For a smaller wrist, this watch will feel absolutely perfect.
It's great that you want to wear a watch again. You've come to the right place. There are many wonderful watches to choose from, and Seiko makes a quality watch. If you like the design, I can definitely recommend the Alpinist. It's a nice balance of sports/tool watch and dress watch and, depending on strap, can be dressed up or down.
I really like the look of the Alpinist and I know Seiko makes quality watches. And I totally see your point re it has a nice balance of sports/ tool watch and dress watch. Now I just need to find a seller that offers a US warranty, not the Japan-only warranty.
Thanks for all your feedback. I truly do appreciate it.
Btw, what do you think of the Glycine Combat 6 36mm watch that’s currently on Massdrop?

It's a gorgeous watch, the size might grow on you once you start wearing it. No doubt in my mind that the case size is fine for your wrist, just whether the size of the dial gives you what you want.
