So I bought the dt 990 pro 250 ohm...
Ok I bought the dt990 pro and the Schiit magni 3 + and I want to connect them to my laptop what will i need I order to connect them? And how do I connect them?(i think the schiit has an rca connection so I am not sure if it will work with my laptop audio port will I need an adapter?)

benziMastering of the music will make the biggest difference anyway. find good source material. As for the cables Im in the camp of any recent good working cable will sound the same. I wouldn't worry about cables/adapters especially if they are short length. Just grab any rca to 3.5mm.

A stereo male 3.5mm TRS to male stereo RCA cable will work for this. Dozens of them available on Amazon/Monoprice/others.

benziI'm not much of a believer in cables making a big difference. That should be just fine, I've used Pangea's cheapest offering with good success in the past if you look to swap out the cable later.

Recommends for 6XX replacement cable(s)?
The wires on the left channel plug, just before the socket are acting up and I need to replace the cable for my Sennheiser 6XX headphones. Looking at Amazon, I see actual Sennheiser cables but one of them does not have the removable 1/4 plug (I use a DAC with 1/8" jack), and I would rather not add even more connection unknowns by using an adapter down to 1/4", and the other Sennheiser cable is far too long for my usage (looking for around 2 meters or just a touch longer. The 6XX have been around for a while and I'm sure I'm not the first to need a replacement cable. I'm actually surprised that Drop doesn't offer them perpetually like they do with the ear pads, which ironically my stock pads are holding up just fine. I'm not looking for $100+ cables here, just a solid replacement for what the 6XX came with. Thanks!
