Your desk setup is so sleek! Do different DACs actually make that much of a difference in terms of sound? I have tried bunch and I keep finding either the AMP or the speakers/headphones make the bulk of the difference that I can hear. I assure you, I'm not that old or have hearing impairments haha.

My experience is that DACs makes a difference. I have DACs from $75 to $2500 and there are differences. But that said, more expensive is not always better, more often it is just different.

At each price point, I agree that certain DACs just perform better. But, I think Grace Design DAC is great! Even compared to heavy weights like Topping D90, I think Grace Design is good! I'm not trying to say that money can't buy hifi. It's just when I have AAA 789, and which out between the two mentioned, the difference in sound doesn't seem greater than if I were to switch AAA 789 to say Topping A90. What do you think? Maybe, I should just buy everything and return them one at a time after comparing each one haha.

Hi KristianN, I just bought the same headphone dac and amp that you have and I am having trouble finding a balanced 4 pin xlr for my headphones. Can you give me some help as to your cable that is plugged into your amp in the picture?

Holy cow, that's amazing. Where could one find how to learn to do that? I hope it's not a college degree!

Soldering is far from impossible to learn. I did learn it in college, but that is not a requirement at all.
