Hey! first of all , thank you so much for the effort into putting that together!
I appreciate it.
I honestly stopped checking for responses... I already purchased set of *speakers*[edit] MONITORSSS (don't hurt me humans) but seems like people still try to suggest 'em and am tired of shutting down people , I bet I also make them feel bad just by ignoring them o_o... but atleast i don't get to feel as bad!
But yeah , I ended up going with the Mackie CR5BT , I believe its the closest to my original pick , the R2000DB , which I actually am GLAD that I cancelled - since Edifier has a shitty customer service (found out the hard way).
But yeah- yeah , also , according to the interwebs , if you put the CR4 vs the M-audio V42 , the Mackie still gets it for clarity and...stuff like that , I guess.
Am not an audiophile or anything - yet I didn't wanna compromise and get a speaker set for $200 that's not really worth the $$$ , so tried to find a good looking high quality set! I hope I did because it arrives todayyyyyyyy....

hehehe , so excited.
But then again , thank you so much for your suggestion. While it may not be extremely relevant , I guess its something to keep in mind incase Mackie goes sideways :D <3
Hope you'll have a great week! <3
P.S. - Mackie has Bluetooth and is a bit bigger than MA's , so also a + for me.
A bit - was the green touches on it. But i'll get around it with my adorable desk light; http://i.imgur.com/vKxZdv5.jpg

Those thing! inside! they can go wireless for a few hours if not days! , they switch colors and stuff so hopefully it'll distract and somehow blend with the neon'ish green of the Mackie...

Skullbunny you apparently bought the right speakers because you are happy with them. That is the most important part. Good luck with your new speakers.

Is it possible to use the Topping DX7 Pro headphones dac/amp as an amp only, bypassing the dac and feeding the amp from an Audioquest DragonFly? If possible, what cable would I need from the 3.5 mm socket of the DragonFly to what input in the DX7 Pro? Thank you all very much.

Question from a book I'm reading
Hi guys, First time post here. New audiophile. I'm reading a book (Harley, Robert. The Complete Guide to High-End Audio (p. 343). Acapella Publishing. Kindle Edition. ) and noticed the following statement: Briefly, inexpensive portable audio devices tend to work best when driving headphones of high impedance (i.e., higher than about 100 ohms). Low-impedance headphones perform better when driven by a more robust amplifier, such as those found in portable DACs and dedicated headphone amplifiers. Is it correct? Based on my knowledge so far, it should be portable audio devices for low impedance headphone, and amp for high impedance ones. TIA! CJ

Any Focal Elegia owners (or of other headphones) that noticed more bass and louder volume with another cable compared to the stock one?
I suspect my Elegia's stock cable came defective. I just plugged both my beyerdynamic Amiron home and HIFIMAN HE 5XX cables to the Elegia and on the same volume on the MIYO DAC (12 of 100), they sound a bit louder and unrestrained, and also the bass sounds big and finally level with the rest of the forward mids and well-blended highs. They're no longer bass shy and bothersome with the showty mids and overall anemic presentation. It's not a small difference. Waddaya guys think? You can still chime in if you've experienced this with other headphones. Is it cable impedance? Cable material? Is my stock cable defective? Is it not defective and that's how the headphones should sound? I want to mention that the horrible, poor excuse of a stock cable is terminated in 3.5mm TS earcup plugs. The HIFIMAN and beyerdynamic cables have 3.5mm TRS earcup plugs. I don't know if that plays into it. I don't think it matters, but I'm not a cable enthusiast. I live the stock cable, single-ended...

My Equalizer APO Presets for the Sennheiser HD 6XX
I like the HD 6XX as is, but even more tweaked to my taste. I have no golden ears nor am I a sound engineer. I'm just your regular audio-loving dude. Just wanted to share my frequency response files (for the 15-band graphic EQ). They are just moderate tweaks that my ears like. While not big adjustments, maybe they're too much for you. Decongest gets rid of the stuffyness, honkyness and brightens up everything a bit. LivenUp is the same as Decongest but with some bass kick added. Lite versions have smaller tweaks. Some music tracks already have too much lows and highs. Make sure the Preamplification is set to -6.00 so you don't clip. https://www.dropbox.com/s/v7gg8mqgws5uxga/HD%206XX%20Equalizer%20APO%20Presets%20%5BSFOG7%5D.zip?dl=0 You don't need an account.
