Hey @JGunnz @Waah looking for some input. Recently had the opportunity to buy a new I7 6700K along with 16gbs of G.Skill 2133 mhz ram. Very cheap (300for both together) Do you guys think that's good enough or should I go better on either ? I'm honestly leaning toward getting 2x16gbs sticks of G.Skill @3400 instead. Thoughts ? And main question. Can you guys help me choose a good Mobo? Something with solid Ethernet etc ideally gaming optimization I guess from the Asus or MSi family ?

ZachHiltyPersonally, I think that I would take it in your case. You can always search around and see if you can find a lower price for the CPU, which is usually about $320 - $350. If just gaming, and even light creative work, the CPU would certainly be fine and the RAM would also be. RAM speed usually has a minimal affect, if any at all. Now, I cannot confidently speak on how performance would change between 2133 and 3400, as it is a pretty large jump (maybe search and see if you can find benchmarks?). For MoBo we would have to get a budget and maybe some more requirements to make a good decision.
