Darkvoice should be a great Entry level OTL (output transformerless) amp for high impedence headphones, i.e.300ohm and above. It colours the sound of HD6xx a little (play with tubes) and adds body, soundstage and authority to the HD6xx, HD6xx does sound a little dull on SS amp (my a90) but not really a bad sense, its just that ss amp pushes the HD6xx to produce clean and neutral sound. I enjoy both HD6xx on Darkvoice as well as Sundara on SS amp. Both give slightly different sound signature, so it depends on what you want for your listening. If you like warm, dark and more coloured sound, maybe a Grado (i do not own one) or similar is better If you like critical and analytical listening, sundara pair with a good SS amp will do great (sundara is perhaps the cheapest in this class) If you like abit of both, HD6xx pair with Darkvoice (mind you, tube rolling do changes the sound enough for you to know the difference) might just be the one. I am sharing from my personal experience and comparing in the lower end of the price bracket. If you have H800 or WA22/33 or RME or LCD-4 or vioelectric, etc then ignore my comment above.
