Massdrop is an ever changing e-commerce site with a load of features. For someone that is new to the site, it is easy to get lost in the discussion posts of products. It is vital to ask questions about a product that you are about to purchase, but sometimes those questions do not get a response. Pictured below is where the "search" feature is located when you are looking at the discussion of a specific product (the yellow box).
Use it to search for keywords that are pertinent to your question. It is very likely that someone else has already asked the same question and gotten feedback.
The search feature can also be used to sort through all the posts that have been created by fellow community members. Highlighted by the yellow box in the image below.

Create a Dedicated Space
While it might be tempting to work from your couch (or bed), resist the urge. Creating a dedicated workspace will help you stay focused. We recommend picking an area with low foot traffic, preferably by a window or a plant. Finding the right listening environment can also help you get in the zone. If you’re craving that concert-like atmosphere, we recommend our open-back Sennheiser HD 58X headphones (but be careful at high volume, unless you want to give your roommates a concert, too). If you prefer to listen loud with no limits, try our Meze 99 Noir closed-back headphones.
Get Comfortable (and Ergonomic)...
This is the first part of what I plan to be a multi post thread where I talk about some neat things about my favorite vacation destination, Las Vegas.
When you get to your hotel, you'll line up at reception with the hundreds of other guests checking into the hotel. While waiting in line, take a $20 bill and triple-fold it so it's smaller than the size of your cards. Then "sandwich" the bill between your ID and credit card.
When you get to the front desk, they'll ask you for your ID and credit card. Hand them the sandwich, they'll split the cards up, note the $20 bill and nonchalantly leave it on the reception desk. They'll look up your booking and confirm the standard details about the check-in dates, room preferences, etc. Acknowledge that it's all correct, and then ask "Are there any complimentary upgrades available?" They'll acknowledge your request and say they'll see what they can do for you.

I'm about to embark on a fun project to build a 3 (or 5?) day survival kit for my household in Berkeley, CA. The primary reason for this is to use when "the big earthquake" hits.
I was wondering if people wanted to give me suggestions on cool stuff to get/include in the kit. Here are some initial thoughts:
1) I'm generally price insensitive (within reason). I wouldn't be surprised if this kit ends up costing $2500.
2) I'm against having a firearm (I accept there are some practical reasons for this, it's just not my thing.)
3) I plan to include a sat-phone in the kit
4) I want to plan for mobility, i.e. have the kits in large containers, but also have backpacks in there so I can pack up and move if needed
5) I'm thinking 2 separate kits in 2 parts of the house, in case one becomes inaccessible when parts of my home collapse.
6) We have 2 adults and 2-year-old at home.
I've literally done zero research into this, going to start now, likely going to try to post...

Massdrop used to be about giving bulk orders to small companies and providing new and cheap products. Now it just feel like a normal product website and really disconnected to us. The customer service is shit and the product range is dropping. Compared to half a year ago, all the outdoor stuff are gone and only the mechanical keyboards and audiophile stuff is left. And even so the selection of audiophile products has still dropped (no pun intended). I feel like the new investors are trying to squeeze out every last bit of cash and don't know what we need or want. With websites like Linsoul and Hi-fi go, drop is becoming obsolete. Honestly without the HD6XX I believe Drop would be long dead.

Well, I can: all these Drop exclusive items are in stock at Amazon, marked up by at least $20. None are in stock at Drop. All of two weeks after your post about keeping stuff in stock at Drop.

You have all of 8 exclusive Drop models of knife in stock at Drop. I count some 22 'exclusive' Drop models in stock at Amazon. Where you've marked them all up. Saying again: after posting that you're moving to keep your exclusive stuff in stock (https://drop.com/talk/70301/celebrating-our-community?discussion=true) instead now most of it can only be found in other stores, where you are charging more for them. You guys keep talking about the pandemic and international trade issues.... but the whole 'it's a pandemic folks, we just can't get the knives fast enough to suit you' thing would sell a LOT better if all this stuff...
Messaged Drop almost a week ago... still no response
I bought the HD58x earpads at the same time with some keycaps. I thought that I would save on shipping since they would be shipped at the same time... but no. Now I have to pay twice the shipping.
If I knew this would happen from the start, I wouldn't have bought those earpads at all...
I messaged Drop almost a week ago regarding this issue and I haven't heard back from them...
What the heck, Drop?!
To be honest what does it even mean when the products I bought are reserved for shipment? Does it mean there is no more and I have to wait for more to come in before they ship it or like do i just wait?
