It would be nice to have a value or budget oriented amp as I'm sure a lot of people wanted but couldn't rip their wallets for the Grace Design MD version.

That's never been on Massdrop... Nor is it likely to ever be.

Theoretically, you are correct. However, if you check the comments of the Objective 2, there are multifarious shipping issues, missing adapters and coupled with lack of power/quality to drive a huge variety of headphones. It's not value if shit doesn't work. :D

They asked for a budget oriented amp, not necessarily one on Massdrop.

You have to consider the subject to which the poster was replying. In this case it was some big secret that Massdrop was waiting to announce. My impression was that the poster wanted the secret to be a budget amp on Massdrop which would suggest that nothing of the sort has happened.

I think you meant @thebrassthief but you are correct. Actually I already new this was going to be the HD 6XX but I was trying to get some hype for potential future drops. :D

Not sure how I sent that reply to you... @thebrassthief, People have been trying to get Schiit on Massdrop forever. Schiit won't do it though. They have a policy against sales/deals. From their website:
On "Deals"
We get asked all the time about deals, sales and other incentives, such as Black Friday specials, EZ credit, trade-ins, monthly payments, purchasing with 2 cards, and a whole raft of other “can I get a better price” questions.
So, here’s the deal: We don’t do deals.
Why? Because when you run sales, specials, financing, or other deals, it has exactly three results:
1. It makes everyone wait for the sales, so suddenly your company is addicted to them. 2. It makes everyone who bought before the sales wonder if they got screwed. 3. It makes everything cost more.
Read #3 again. The simplest sales model is one where everything is a fixed cost, no sales, no promos, no special package deals, no loyalty programs, no EZ financing. And simple is inexpensive. Simple means we don’t have to pass the cost along to you. Anytime we do a sale, start a promo, offer a package deal, or start a loyalty program, we’re adding cost to our products.
That’s why we have one price list, no discounts, no sales, no promos–because it passes the savings along to everyone.

I know that already. I still said that because they asked for a budget oriented amp and the Magni 2 is one of -the- budget amps regardless of it being on Massdrop or not. Point still stands.

I own an O2 and have zero Issues. The O2 can provide 88 mW to 600 ohm headphones and Beyerdynamic's DT 990 lists 100 mW max. So Not really sure what you are listening to that doesn't itself cost over a grand that the O2 can't drive. Oh it's not me, but with all the issues people have been listing in the comments page I don't think I'm going to buy the O2 from MD. You could be right that it is a fine product, but to me it just isn't worth the time plus the savings to get something from MD if there's potential for problems.

audiotechnica ath-sr50bt..
A very good headphone under 200$ The package include a short cable for recharge the headphone and a 3.5mm cable, instruction and carrying pouch. Very well designed, solid and similar to msr7. Sounds good and with solid bass, both with cable or bluetooth. Has a lot features and i m worry because i can t buy One for me: i have a msr7se and is a Little Better, expecially with furutech cable. Pads are bigger and solid than msr7 and i think that Is the reason because sr50 has solid bass, a Little + than my msr7se [image] [image] [image] .

Shure se846 - new lower pricing?
Now that Amazon is retailing them at 899 (as opposed the the 1249 launch price and lower than the previous 999 retail), we should be able to drill the price down even lower than the last Massdrop price (820), no? That's when I last bought a pair. Asking because if we can, it would let me buy another pair at potentially less than the replacement cost of the two buds I've got. Specialist iFi audio ZEN DAC Signature now on sale on Drop!
We are excited to announce that we will also be launching a bigger and better ZEN DAC exclusive to Drop for a period of time. Based on one of the most talked about USB DAC/headphone amps on the market today, we combined improved circuitry with newfound singular purpose to produce a transportable DAC which concentrates on the DAC function and is dedicated to driving high quality amplifiers like the ZEN CAN Signature with authority and precision. Bit-perfect hi-res audio support includes PCM to 384kHz, native DSD and MQA, coupled to fully balanced analog circuit design – nothing anywhere near the price comes close. Our exclusive Signature version elevates the ZEN DAC’s DAC performance with upgraded circuitry from iFi’s flagship Pro Series delivering exceptional poise and accuracy to any downstream amplifier, but especially the purpose-codesigned ZEN CAN Signature 6XX with matching 4.4mm balanced inputs. Search and Filter function in Shop
Would be nice to upgrade the filters to include price ranges, brand names, review stars, whether returns are accepted, etc..., improving the usability closer to filtering on Amazon or Ebay. Shouldn't be too much work to retroactively update previous products given the volume.

Anyone using this beauty? It seems like the most feature-packed dac under $200. MQA support, 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced headphone out, the unique balanced RCA ports- all under $200. My purpose would be to power up my IEMs.

What DAC and amp should I get for the Beyerdynamic DT 770 250 amp headphones? Should I buy a DAC/amp or a stack?
My budget is 300 dollars. I'm going to use it for video games and house music production.

Panda Firmware Update 3/5
Hello Friends, Work continues on our sonarworks integration. We're nearing the end of that process and I can provide some context for this update. The update we're working on now is focused on two areas Sonarworks Integration Update Infrastructure We've talked about the benefits of Sonarworks (EQ, SoundID, etc) so let's focus on Update Infrastructure. Update Infrastructure is about what we can update and how we can deliver those updates. For this first update, some of you will need to update via USB C (installers will be provided for OSX/Win), but most of you, and all of you for all future updates, will be able to update over the air via the Sonarworks app. Beyond updating over the air, this update includes a variety of back-end changes that will address some QOL issues and enable further firmware development. Thanks for your patience, we'll be back next week with hopefully our last update before release.
