I measured the sheepskin pads with calipers while holding them in my hands. The interior dimensions are 1.53" (38.9 mm) wide x 2.28" (57.8 mm) tall x 1.04" (26.37 mm) deep. The plastic ring is not flat so I was measuring to the back of the outer edge.
For my existing pads still on the headphones I measure the interior as 1.53" wide x 2.29" tall x 1.045" deep. Here the back of the calipers is touching the headphone under the grill of the cup and I do not know if it is level with the outside of the pad. Also note that all dimensions are approximate. The old and new pads seem pretty close in size though.
After I removed the old pads I measured them to be 0.98" - 1.0" deep by measuring distance from back of outer edge of pad with calipers. The thickness varies some around the edge. Maybe they have compressed some with use.
If you look at the material of the velour and hybrid velour pads then there is a seam on the inside just like on the original ones. The material from the seam inwards to the headphones is smooth leather-like material just like what is on the outside of the hybrid pads.
I did remove my pads by pulling out first over one of the bottom clips like someone suggested.
Trying the fenestrated ones.

iAmBoomerStrongTHEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ENGINEERED TO ACCOMMODATE VARIOUS SIZE HEADSETS BY CHANGING OUT THE INNER SIZE ADAPTERS. IT'S A TOTAL "SHOT IN THE DARK" BY DROP TO OFFER A PRODUCT LIKE THESE WITHOUT ANY ADAPTABILITY TO THE VARIOUS SIZES OF HEADSETS THAT ARE OUT IN THE MARKET. COMMON GUYS! LET'S GET IT TOGETHER.

To add to this question - does these earpads have a different dimension profile, to make them deeper and avoid ears touching the inside of headphones?

DROP CS reached out to me on Friday. They told me to ask in the Discussions / Q&A section of the product. That didn’t impress me at all and I blasted them a little. I told them that many people are asking this question and if they’d post it in the Details section of the product this wouldn’t be happening. I also told them we aren’t Drop Interns so quit asking us to do their job. He then apologized and said he’d have an answer for me by this coming Wednesday (March 18th).

Recommends for 6XX replacement cable(s)?
The wires on the left channel plug, just before the socket are acting up and I need to replace the cable for my Sennheiser 6XX headphones. Looking at Amazon, I see actual Sennheiser cables but one of them does not have the removable 1/4 plug (I use a DAC with 1/8" jack), and I would rather not add even more connection unknowns by using an adapter down to 1/4", and the other Sennheiser cable is far too long for my usage (looking for around 2 meters or just a touch longer. The 6XX have been around for a while and I'm sure I'm not the first to need a replacement cable. I'm actually surprised that Drop doesn't offer them perpetually like they do with the ear pads, which ironically my stock pads are holding up just fine. I'm not looking for $100+ cables here, just a solid replacement for what the 6XX came with. Thanks!
