Great post! I don't carry anything fancy, but I do love these two:

I'm also a HUGE fan of the Fisher Bullet Space Pen. I have it in black and find it to be the perfect "pocket pen".

MikeMDI carry a Namiki/Pilot vanishing point in my pocket. Great while on rounds at the hospital. No cap to contend with. On my desk my 2 beloved Parker 51s and Namiki Falcon. I am partial to Diamine inks...

MikeMDI hesitate to add my voice here for the simple reason that I have a strong bias; my family's name is on several of these pens. But since I've been around pens for my entire life I'm both passionate and fairly knowledgeable, I just can't resist. First, a solid, reliable ballpoint. And yes, any of the huge variety of PARKER Jotters would be a great starting point. Having been around 60+ years there are tons of choices whether vintage or new. Next on my list is - no surprise - the PARKER 51. This is both practical (it's a quick starter AND completely reliable) and emotional (my grandfather designed the 51). For abit more flex I'll sometimes sub either a vintage Vacumatic or a PARKER 75. I rarely EDC just two pens but I'll stop here for now ...

GSP1888I love my Parker 75! It's one of my go to desk pens, so it didn't make this post.
the 51 is quite possibly one of the greatest pens ever made (and they sold like it, too).
Parker has always made pens, in my opinion, that perform exactly as they are designed nearly all of the time with minimal maintenance.
That being said, we'd love to hear more from you!

MikeMDI'm happy to contribute. Just to be clear my most basic belief is that Pens Are Personal. This means that one should look for a good, reliable, well-made pen THAT SPEAKS To YOU. For me this winds up being a whole bunch of PARKERs, but it might be entirely different for you. So whatever the brand or model you're certain to enjoy the search ... I promise!
