what plate did you use? I was actually planning on doing this exact same thing.

n0sebluntHi, I use the black plate (for idobo id75) from YMDK, just for the aesthetic reason 😂. Because original one sale from KPrepublic is sliver. The idobo plate can fit in the XD75 PCB without any problem. The only one defect I found is that the area nears the screw position on the idobo plate is too thin. That area is quite fragile and could be damaged while (dis)assembling the keyboard. I damaged the right side of the plate after the third time I re-assembling the keyboard.

The damaged plate does not affect the functionality nor the typing feel, at least I can't tell the difference 😂

Did the pcb “just fit” or did you have to mod the case? To get the hot-swap sockets to sit flush, I’ve usually had to drill/cut stuff off 60% cases, ending up with 2-3 usable screw holes left...

johshmohFor me, I didn't mod the case. I just add a little bit force when screwing the PCB into the case, and I only screw 2 mounting position (the most left side one and the most right side one).

The result is not perfect but is good enough for me. The major downside is that the PCB will be curved overtime, as you can see on the picture, because the PCB is "forced to fit" into the case.
