Does anyone know of a solid state headphone amp with 2 RCA inputs and a passthrough RCA output? The Xduoo TA-20 is nearly what I want, but I was looking for something solid state. No DAC needed.

Cans for METAL? I have some Grado sr60e’s and AT ATH-AD700 but looking to upgrade. I’m not an audiophile (yet) but both of these I find “shimmery” and sometimes a bit harsh esp the Grados and a bit IDK empty? sounding. I mostly listen to metal/thrash but these will be probably my go-to’s in general. I’ve read a lot (probably too much..planar,dynamic, HE vs HD, etc) but just don’t know. I will drive with an amp (also would take a recommendation) and budget $300 or less for the headphones. Many thanks in advance.

Is it possible to use the Topping DX7 Pro headphones dac/amp as an amp only, bypassing the dac and feeding the amp from an Audioquest DragonFly? If possible, what cable would I need from the 3.5 mm socket of the DragonFly to what input in the DX7 Pro? Thank you all very much.

Hi guys, First time post here. New audiophile. I'm reading a book (Harley, Robert. The Complete Guide to High-End Audio (p. 343). Acapella Publishing. Kindle Edition. ) and noticed the following statement: Briefly, inexpensive portable audio devices tend to work best when driving headphones of high impedance (i.e., higher than about 100 ohms). Low-impedance headphones perform better when driven by a more robust amplifier, such as those found in portable DACs and dedicated headphone amplifiers. Is it correct? Based on my knowledge so far, it should be portable audio devices for low impedance headphone, and amp for high impedance ones. TIA! CJ

I really wish Drop would team up with Sennheiser to remake the HD 424. It would be awesome to buy a new pair instead of the insane prices on Ebay.

I replaced one tube, tube rollin. The large tube is an original RCA tube from the late 60's. Sounds so delicious!
