you may have to expand your budget. yes. just a tad.

Question; what do you listen to? Knowing your listening tastes helps us give you good focussed recommendations. :)

I mostly listen to Alt rock, 90's Hip Hop, Jazz but I love almost all music. What do you think about the beatsXs?

Not a fan of Beats. I find them too biased and not detailed enough for my listening tastes.
That being said, they are designed around exactly the type of music that you prefer. I'm a Classical, Jazz, and Electronica,(like Klaus Schultze, Jonn Serrie, Steve Roach), guy with specific Rock tastes,(like Foo Fighters, classic Santana, Neil Young), where I like detail and separation. Separation is tricky with IEMs, you'll spend bajillions to get IEMs that give you a sense of that. So I go with full-sized headphones mostly.
For IEMs at decent prices, that will elevate your experience,(IMO), try the MEE Audio line, which are quite well made and offer several different sound signatures. I am sure one of these will meet your desires. I have a couple sets of the P1 Pinnacle and they are VERY nice for multiple music genres, even screaming Nirvana. You might give those a whirl. Inside your budget, the P2 would suit- it's modeled on the P1 but constructed a bit less expensively than the P1, and worth the money at 100 bux less. MEE does a nice job of customer support too, they, (in my experience with them for the past 12 years, shortly after they established), back up their products. I think this might be your best bet....you get a nice sounding set of Audiophile grade IEMs at an entry level price.

What do you know about the Bluetooth ear buds from that company. Obviously the quality on bt will be worse, but is much more convenient in the long run. That was my reasoning purchasing the beats in the first place, which quality wasn't great but were very convenient.

And what about the current drop going on. These head phones seem perfect as I pretty much listen to everything. Massdrop x NuForce EDC3 In-Ear

so, what I have,(for BT), is a set of the PlusSound Bluetooth IEM and Headphone cables that have been offered here on Massdrop. I can use them on headphones that have the same connectoids as some IEMs that I own. The catch here is that you can really only use them on IEMs and LOW imp. cans, for anything like good quality. The build and sound of PlusSound Audio products is very very good, you can get heavily into custom cables with them. Their pricing is good, but I remember when their pricing was happily quite low for the same excellent quality as they offer today.
You will be quite pleased with the NuForce sound. Yes, I agree, it would be a good match for your prefs.
p.s. I applaud you asking good questions. I think people just getting started in a passion that can become very expensive should be more into asking questions and "listening" to experienced members of a community. Free advice is a great thing when you may be turning your wallet inside out one day......
cheers!

These don't look like Dekoni pads, to me. They look like pads you can get from China for $5, on eBay. They just look very flat and cheaply made in the pics, compared to what I typically see Dekoni offering. The "elite velour" look like they would immediately fall apart, while they wouldn't be thick enough to keep ears off the driver. All of them look pretty flat and nothing like any Dekoni pads I have ever seen. Seems a bit odd to me.

Would there be enough difference, to buy these, if one already has 598's and 660s? I hear so much about these, I just wonder if the difference between the 6xx and the 660s, would be worth owning both. Thanks!

About to receive my replacement Focal Elex and worried about quality
My original Elex left driver went out 10 months in. The replacement is soon to be delivered. I'm worried that the same thing will happen to the replacement at some point. I've ordered the upcoming Drop HD-8xx hoping that it will usable for me like the Elex has been. With the Drop HD-8xx the inherent lift in the highs of the HD 800's has been partially dealt with and some lows added. I honestly don't like hyped treble when using headphones. I'm hoping that there is an open back phone that is somewhat linear like the Elex, and has a similar sonic signature. I don't want another headphone from Focal; just can't deal with this again. What non-Focal linear open back headphone easily competes with the Elex?

What to do with one side dead (Focal Elex)?
I have a pair of focal elex headphones. By far one of the best I've had but one side went dead yesterday. Not the cable issue and read that it is common with them. Could you advise what to do? Can it be fixed locally? Given it right be the driver or copper cable inside?

THX AAA 789 Amazing sound
Online reviews spoke highly, but I was suprised by the detail in the sound. I was using a Dac/amp with an msrp of 1400 so I did not expect much. I did notice an immediate clarity improvement. Music, specifically words were no longer blurred.Singers seemed to make more of an effort to enunciate words more. Even using a $100 DAC the sound was top notch. Drop hit a home run with this product.

Clamping forces of Drop-collaborated headphones
I have a fat wide head and am sensitive to the clamping force of headphones. My question is, why are the clamping forces of Drop headphones reportedly higher than the ones from the original manufacturer? For example, according to measured tests on rtings.com, both the Sennheiser HD5xx, HD58x, and HD6xx have much higher clamping force than their respective Sennheiser original models. This also seems to ring true with the Drop x Meze 99 headphones, where Meze 99 forums are saying there's almost no clamping force but the some on the Drop forum are saying the collab version's clamping force were "quite high." Is Drop requesting that headbands be tighter on the collab versions? What's going on? Also, can anyone suggest me a comfortably wide/large headphones? I'm currently using AKG 7xx and they're super comfortable.
