RayFGood idea, I should replace the strap too. Damn that does look good, man. The face color, indexes, and dark/navy blue strap complement each other.

I felt the presentation of the dial, combined with the stainless bracelet was a little blah--the steel didn't pick up the nice blues in the chapter ring, hands, and indices at all.
I went through several shades of blue fabric straps and none of those really worked either. Eventually I found this Seiko silicone strap (actually intended for one of their Tuna models), and decided to try it out. The color was good--but the position of the lug holes were off just enough to make it impossible to fit. The solution was an X-acto knife and some careful trimming.
Not for the faint of heart, but it's exactly the look I was looking for.

RayFThanks for the warning on having to trim the strap :) I have time on my hands and I can use the practice with my modeling blade haha

Work around for firmware/configuration update error "command not recognized"
I spent more than an hour attempting to update my Drop Shift keyboard. I'm not sure what has changed, but I was not able to do it entirely from the Drop website as I had previously done. I have most of the keys configured how I would like, but the default LED function was a very bright, distracting, rainbow wave going across the keyboard. Every time I turned the computer on I had to manually adjust the lights how I liked. Using the online version or the locally installed app, you first have to install the QMK XAP interface. You then have to flash your already configured firmware file, which can be done on the Drop website. If you are logged in your last configuration is saved under your account and you can alter what you like, so you don't have to start from scratch. So, following the instructions I selected the appropriate board, entered bootloader mode, but when attempting to flash the file, I would get an error that the C:/Users/Mike C..... command is not recognized...

Drop CSTM - keyboard build guide
Assembly Steps: 1. Remove the 8 case screws with a phillips head screwdriver. (Note: If your keyboard already comes with stabilizers already pre-installed and you do not want to change your switch plate, you can safely skip to step 7.) 2. Remove the structural top case once all the case screws are removed. 3. Take out the keyboard plate and PCBA assembly together and flip them around. Remove the 6 screws connecting the assembly with a phillips head screwdriver. 4. The plate and PCBA assembly should now be separate, allowing you to add the PCBA stabilizers. You will need to make (4) 2u and (1) 6.25u stabilizers for the CSTM80. Please see image below on how to create stabilizer assemblies. (Note: Test the stabilizers and make sure the stems are freely moving up and down to ensure everything is installed correctly.) 5. Hello everyone! I'm looking to join DKC, but I have a few questions. The first day of November has already passed.
