There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Aside from being lightweight. A good chest and hip straps for support with good breathable padding, "waterproof" fabric to keep your stuff dry without a rain protector which decimated any features from the pack (like accessibility...)
The most important feature for me is a bag that can follow my movements, and mostly, a mesh/fabric to separate my back from the bag...
And the straps need to be as thin and breathable without being uncomfortable or not solid/strong enough to handle daily abuse...
A place for hydration is also a must. Mostly looking for a good 40L-65L with a sweet spot for ~50L depending on how the space is managed inside/outside. And for the hip straps, pockets would be awesome and for the regularnvertical backpack straps, a cellphone pocket (for modern "big" smartphones) and be waterproof if possible and a hole for the headphones...and maybe a second pocket on the other side for your wallet or whatever you want to carry...but not have in your pockets while hiking Being wide enough on the back to accommodate a regular 17" laptop would be a plus.
Pole carrying straps kinda like Osprey does it. Having the pockets on the straps be Modular would be awesome
And nice side pockets for camping mattress or any size bottle we want.
Having the bag be "drinkable" would also be awesome to be able to use double duty as a work/casual backpack and also and Ultralight hiking backpack for the weekend and vacations.
Having a second pocket on the back like some bags by camelback for biking. Maybe having some kind of solar power charging (that actually works well...).
Having different Modular accessories you can add would be cool...I don't mean gadgets, I mean additional pockets, storage, and even tools maybe...just a thought though....
Anyways to you for reading this :) It's appreciated =)
