Shanling UA2 basically covers all the things a USB dac should do. SE and Bal outputs, 200 mW/32 ohms, pretty good sound and app support. Is there any dac under $100 that has more output power than this? Anyone tried the E1Da 9038s?

I have both and prefer to use the E1DA because of a more relaxed vocal presence and bit less mid-bass. The 3D image is better in the UA2 as it adds more vertical space. The UA2 is very power hungry, so take that into consideration also. The UA2 has the app is more user friendly. The Tweak9038 is competent but is not free.

Yes, the E1DA it's more power efficient. Give it a try, to me it was a more warm-neutral source.

fdobarrigaI gave a chance to E1DA 9038S G3 Susumu 3000 and I'm very happy. Powerful output easily drives from smartfone my Ether Flow 1.1 and some other planars. Power drain is similar to Tempotec Sonata E44 which I had too for a few hours but I prefer to have detachable cable and more "hardened" sound from E1DA.
