WHEN I JOINED THERE WERE SEVEREAL VIBRANT COLLECTIONS FOF NERDS HERE. KNIFES, TOOLS, OUTDOOREQUIPMENT, PENS, WATCHES/CLOCKS, FINE LEATHERPRODUCTS, CLOTHES AND IT GOES ON FOR A WHILE...
AND THERE WERE THE AUDIO AND KEYBOARD NICHE.
NOW THE DROP IS JUST A VERY DULL AND GREY PLACE...AND I REALLY HAVE NO MORE TO SAY

I used to wait for knife drops and check the site frequently. It seems like, ever since the name change, and especially the phasing out of the EDC community, there is nothing left of interest.

Absolutely! The two communities remaining Keyboards and Audio I never bought from, I have bought several watches, pocket knives, sun glasses, and other everyday carry items.

100% concur. Where did all the good stuff go? Perhaps the decline started when the ill-advised name change from Massdrop to Drop occurred?

It really has, I use to come here to see what kind of hobbies I want to get into, but now I don't even know why I come back. My first purchase was a grav lab bubbler, man were those better times.

Yep. I just logged in for a browse…nothing of interest any more. Very 2 dimensional now - I’m done here. From Massdrop, to Drop, then dropped!

Ahh ok I am not a Drop expert, but kept thinking somehow I messed up my account and was only seeing audiophile and mechanical keyboard stuff, but it looks like this is all drop has become.

I hear ya. The EDC section was awesome. I collect knives and lighters. They had some great stuff here. I miss those drops.

The only thing keeping me here was the Every Day Carry community, after all the other ones I followed got axed here and there over the past few years. Now all I see is headphones and keyboards. I think I'm done

Clixx13I think from a profit perspective it may make sense. Certainly in these Corona time people have less fun-budget to spend. They might not even have a budget for more essential stuff.
Working from home a good keyboard and (noise cancelling) headset may still be a good investment. I did order Planck keyboards. Drop is almost the only place you can buy them. I really like their key-cap sets and did order several. I still want that wooden case for my Planck, a keycap set and even a Preonic and a split keyboard. The audio stuff looks nice. I was not interested in the past but are more now. I might buy a headset. However, for these there are plenty of other options in Europe.
Living in Europe I unfortunately have to pay EU ~30 taxes, VAT and handling fee for switches or keyboards.
I am into outdoor walking etc. I did have a look but did not see anything I really wanted. Clothes are way too expensive to get shipped here. I have other options for this category. Still I am interested in some of the more geekier things. Sad it is gone now. Of course, having camping gear might be argued as a way to spend time outdoors away from other people.
I once saw a coffee machine on Drop that is produced in the Netherlands. The brand produces these since before the 1970s. My parents and grandparents had these. Even the price was fair. But shipping it over the Atlantic twice is silly. The factory is only an hour by train for me ;).
I still enjoyed browsing the camping and other categories. But that would not make Drop any money.
PS. I DON UNDERSTAND YOU WROTE IN ALL CAPS. NO NEED TO WRITE YOUR WHOLE MESSAGE IN ALL CAPS. ALL CAPS IS-LESS READABLE.

How do I stop renewal of keyboard club?
Hi there, I've been a member of the keyboard club for the past year, I'm afraid that in the next 24h the Keyboard Club will renew automatically. I have checked on my profile but couldn't find anywhere a way to stop it. Did i miss it ? Will it renew automatically ? TIA Mauringhio

I miss Massdrop
Is it just me or was this place much better when it was Massdrop? Instead of expensive collaborations, it was all about finding good deals that got better with more participation. Anyone know if this place will ever revert to those times or if there are any other sites that might be doing what this site stopped doing?

Do products in the same order ship together if they have different shipping estimates?
I bought an order that consisted of products that were ready to ship on Feb 13 and March 29. Will they ship all together on March 29 or will they be split and the orders that are ready to ship earlier ship on Feb 13?

As above, my keyboard routinely drops connection with my computer; I've tried three different computers, they're not the issue. It resolves itself after being "hard reset" (unplugged), but it's driving me insane because obviously it acts up more when I need it most. All drivers seem to be up to date, any thoughts? (I've also changed the cable, please ppl)
