Best upgrade from HD598 ?

more_vert
Why I like my old hd598 more than hd58x ? Im thinking this was a bad upgrade because I went back to use hd598 after 10 mins of using hd58x ...! I dont know what should I do ? Im thinking about hd599 ? Or Hd560s ? I have to upgrade but not downgrade (Im playing with ps5) maybe My preference is not the bass at all , hd58x have a great sound but I think Its not for me .

Bet it's really endorphins you're after rather than an upgrade. You've come to the right place--no shortage of guys looking to score another hit of that shit on this site ;- )

FhdOnes You’re proving my point—what’s next, the 699 and the 660s?

Sometimes it takes time for the brain to adapt and recognize the "upgrade". As sound is subjective, what you're hearing now may just sound "different" instead of "better" than what you're used to. Just give it a bit more time, and if you still don't like it, then sell it off. When I upgraded from a cheap Philips headphone to HD518 many years back, I thought the HD518 is not particularly or significantly better, but after giving it some time and then listening back to the Philips, the Philips sound like garbage. Same happened again when I upgraded to the HD600. Initially I kinda liked my HD518 more, but after some time I started to appreciate the qualities of the HD600 and recognize where the improvements are, and now the HD518 sounds worse to me. Give it time.

danny87Also, I wouldn't call the HD560s an upgrade, although reviews are saying they have great soundstage. So for gaming perspective it might be good. Try to listen to the HD58X with a wider variety of music, not just the ones you usually listen to.
