I frequently go from speakers to headphones on my pc, and I change the active audio device from within windows. How will this work with my setup? This only has L/R RCA and my PC370x does not.

RayFWell, that works the same way on Windows. Would the DAC appear as an output source? How do the RCA outputs work with regular 3.5mm audio jacks?

samfisher I can only speak from my limited experience—my Jotunheim does appear as a sound output (connected by USB). My JBLs are connected to the Jotunheim (via balanced cables, have used RCAs in the past). Speaker power cables are connected to a single “smart plug.” When I listen to headphones, I tell Alexa to turn off the speakers (or back On, as needed. My setup is a DAC/Amp; I have no experience with a straight DAC. My thinking is, what controls the Amplifier, controls sound OUTPUT. Good luck!
