Are these water resistant? The store page claims "IPX 6 waterproof", the manual says avoid exposure to liquids and rain. I bought these with the knowledge that if I was outside and it was a bit misty or lightly raining, because that is far less than the protection from powerful water jets that the listed IP rating would suggest.
I wouldn't really use them the way you said you were planning. These are supposed to be really high quality head phones and the water resistance is really just for small accidents. I'm pretty sure IPX 6 is more dust related but I don't know.
jackaroniandcheeseThe X in the first digit means they don't have a dust rating, and the 6 is purely a water resistance rating, and a strong one. Whether or not high end headphones are meant to be worn in rain doesn't change what the advertised claim means
