The James Brand has a reputation for being a raised-pinky, botique-brand with so-so materials. Admittedly, I think their Folsom and Carter are pretty well designed knives. Here's my Gen.1 Folsom with CTS-BD1 steel 😎
Been a while since we had an EDC post on this site so here goes :) Here's my customized Cold Steel Air Lite (hit-up Hilltop Knives & Gear at firstname.lastname@example.org) and my Drop AAA Aluminum flashlight. Keeping my EDC lightweight for the summer weather. I hope Cold Steel keeps its quality control despite being sold-off.
I always appreciate hefty field watches but my Lorus Titanium is a notable exception. Coming in at less than 2oz. with a brushed titanium case housing a Seiko VX32 quartz movement, date complication, cream-colored dial, LumiBrite coated hands (no pips on the hours though), and a mineral crystal (not sure if it's Hardlex), this Lorus model is a featherweight. Lorus is mostly a UK- and EU-oriented brand of Seiko and is not readily available in Asia. I scored my Lorus RXD425L8 on Amazon (shout out to Ben's Watch Club for the recommendation) for about US$85.
