Those with first-hand experience with Sundara, how do these compare?

In my opinion, the x4's are warmer, with less sound stage, and not as airy/open sounding, as the Sundara. But the dual sided array, will help the low end a bit, over Sundaras single sided. I enjoy them both. They are both quite different sounding, of course, the Sundara is over twice the cost of the x-4. Which, for the price, I couldn't find a reason NOT to check them out. Even though I had recently picked up the 400se, and have the 4xx, 400i. But, I don't find any of them to sound too similar to one another, not to be able to enjoy them all. I don't have any regrets for picking them up. I hope this helped.. edit: OCD grammar/punctuation corrections..

shkdwnstAre those the same drivers as 4XX or not ? I don't understand how a "better 4XX" can be cheaper ?

thmsIt's not the same driver as the 4xx. I do enjoy how these have more low-end than the 4xx but i don't know if I'd call them "better". The headband and cups seem identical to the 4xx. I think they were able to make these cheaper by using weaker ferrite magnets instead of the more expensive neodymium magnets used in the 4xx.
