How is the board going to look now since the Susuwatari molds are going to be used? Will the keycaps still look like the renders or will they look more like Susuwatari with white legends?

Well, tooling has nothing to do with colors or how the colors look. Tooling for keycaps refers to the actual molds that are used to form the shape, height and angles of the keycap set, and in the case of Doubleshot keycaps; the shape, placement & font of the legends. So when they say this set will use Susu tooling it (most likely) means a few things: 1. The main thing to be aware of is the actual profiling itself. Susuwatari was/is a doubleshot ABS set, which they didn't have a Row-5 profile for at the time. So the bottom row cap faces aren't going to have a flat-topped angle like the newer PBT MT3 sets have. This matters to those of us who like the bottom row cap faces to be parallel with the case, and additional layer of sculpt allows or maximum ergonomics. Especially if you dont use your keyboard with a tilt. This all just means it'll use a "0-1-2-3-4-4" row layout (from top-to-bottom) - so the bottom row (with the spacebar and bottom Mods) will be the exact same shape, height and angle of the row right above that (the Shift-Z-X-C row). 2. Like I mentioned above, PBT keycaps and ABS keycaps have their own separate molds, even if they're for the "same" set, color wise. Susuwatari is doubleshot ABS, whoch means 3277 will be too, along with everything else I just mentioned. Also, don't forget the two plastics have other differences, and what that means you'd be buying. The main one being that ABS keycaps shine from use very quickly compared to PBT. 3. This last one isnt so much about the tooling or manufacturing process, but it seems like you might not be aware of the differences between the colorways of these two sets: *(And just for the record, I definitely agree with the few comments I've seen about the underwhelming reveal- this essentially being just another Susu-Like with minor tweaks -and I really wish we got a brand new theme/style of keyset. One that isn't overly-branded with pop-culture IP-references, I mean...) -------------- But yeah, Susuwatari doesn't actually have White alphas but Cream-colored ones & its Mods are just barely not-black; they're super dark Gray - although unless you had it and 3277 on the same board & right next to each other, it probably ends up looking the same if you stay within the set... -- but if you like to mix-&-match the mods and alphas from different sets to find even more unique kit combinations, you really gotta factor that in. For example: if you're trying to match the legends of the Alphas from one set w/ the Modifier body's color, than even minor differences in the shades of the *same colors* will stick out obviously. So unless that's what you're going for, find out exactly what the colors are described as. Even better if you can find the color codes, specifically. -------------- Jesus, this ended up being a friggin' novel. Dont even remember what the question was. Oh, yeah. So basically: 3277 = White-on-Black & Light Gray. Susuwatari = Cream-on-Gray & Dark-Ass-Gray 3277 will use the same material, the same profile & rows, and at the very minimum *should have the same kitting/cap selection (I doubt any of the masters/Dies have worn out yet, and I'm not sure if they've created new ABS molds for other key shapes/compatibility since Susu was made). At the end of the day, if it matters that much to you; just wait for reviews/pictures to come out before renders are always susceptible to color inaccuracies compared to the real-life product. And it's been quite some time since these renders were made so there could have been adjustments. Apparently we'll find out this October...
