How's this baby monster compared to it's dad?

bigred25929 You know, they call it a "baby" but it's actually larger than my first gen monster--not a lot larger but certainly enough not to deserver that silly moniker. It's a nice watch and one of my go-to tickers when the job ahead calls for real work, not desk-work! I swapped out the cheesy metal bracelet for a navy-blue silicon Seiko Tuna strap early on--to bring out the blue in the dial. The strap didn't come close to fitting so I had to trim it with an Xacto knife. Worked well enough. The steel bezel is top-notch and I always appreciate a Day/Date complication. The dial goes between steel-gray and white, depending on the light. Lume is Seiko excellent-grade. My only complaint would be the sort of non-diver dial (ie: no dots between 12, 3, 6, and 9), but that's just personal issue. I'd say it was a great beater watch but I DON'T BEAT MY WATCHES!
