All you need is a Tripp lite ISOBAR Ultra; 4 outlets for less than $40.
Even that is probably overkill, a couple of Ferrite Core clamp-on beads will probably be all you can actually HEAR, and that's only if you're actually getting audible EMF hum or interference.

Can personally attest to the ISOBAR's... used a power regulator/filter/battery backup for many years along with some panamax conditioners and honestly there isn't much difference having switched to the tripp lite power strips. I don't use a projector/projection TV as my primary viewing source anymore and the battery went to shit so tried a cheaper option. If I were running a dedicated 20A line I might want more current delivery but the 2+ kilowatts (RMS) split over two different strips doesn't feel too constrained.

oh yea. I was looking at the Tripp lite ISOBAR too. But I heard stuff like the ISOBAR or even some other high end power strips can take something away from the system. I actually experienced this when I used one, it was not inexpensive and it made my system bright as hell. The transformer inside the TORUS and other stuff that is going on in there... which I do not fully understand... supposedly take less from the actual sound. And yea.... Torus seemed like it was affecting the system for the better to my ears. This is what I heard. What do you think about this?

I think I used panamax conditioners before too... I dont recall exactly but I think this was the one that caused (at least) my system to sound bright

Considering that Toroidal chokes, ferrite core filters and the ISOBAR (to a lesser extent) attenuate the higher frequencies, of the EMF it is kind of antithetical that your use of them made your system brighter. All I can tell you is that if you weren't hearing AUDIBLE interference before, you likely gained little to no effect by applying any kind of choke or filter. As mentioned elsewhere, my wife was getting EMF ( a radio broadcast) on her Swan 2.1 speaker system and with some ferrite core filters and an interconnect with high quality shielding it was abated. I was getting a hum on my headphone amp when the refrigerator compressor would kick on, the ISOBAR power strip completely eliminated that with no audible effect to the brightness of my system.

Agreed I hear the abatement of noise (blacker background/removed hum when certain devices are on) as about the only change with any power gear I've tried. The nicer stuff does it a shade better than the cheaper stuff but I'm not a classical listener exploring the depths of my noise floor so cheap works at the moment.

About to receive my replacement Focal Elex and worried about quality
My original Elex left driver went out 10 months in. The replacement is soon to be delivered. I'm worried that the same thing will happen to the replacement at some point. I've ordered the upcoming Drop HD-8xx hoping that it will usable for me like the Elex has been. With the Drop HD-8xx the inherent lift in the highs of the HD 800's has been partially dealt with and some lows added. I honestly don't like hyped treble when using headphones. I'm hoping that there is an open back phone that is somewhat linear like the Elex, and has a similar sonic signature. I don't want another headphone from Focal; just can't deal with this again. What non-Focal linear open back headphone easily competes with the Elex?

What to do with one side dead (Focal Elex)?
I have a pair of focal elex headphones. By far one of the best I've had but one side went dead yesterday. Not the cable issue and read that it is common with them. Could you advise what to do? Can it be fixed locally? Given it right be the driver or copper cable inside?

THX AAA 789 Amazing sound
Online reviews spoke highly, but I was suprised by the detail in the sound. I was using a Dac/amp with an msrp of 1400 so I did not expect much. I did notice an immediate clarity improvement. Music, specifically words were no longer blurred.Singers seemed to make more of an effort to enunciate words more. Even using a $100 DAC the sound was top notch. Drop hit a home run with this product.

Clamping forces of Drop-collaborated headphones
I have a fat wide head and am sensitive to the clamping force of headphones. My question is, why are the clamping forces of Drop headphones reportedly higher than the ones from the original manufacturer? For example, according to measured tests on rtings.com, both the Sennheiser HD5xx, HD58x, and HD6xx have much higher clamping force than their respective Sennheiser original models. This also seems to ring true with the Drop x Meze 99 headphones, where Meze 99 forums are saying there's almost no clamping force but the some on the Drop forum are saying the collab version's clamping force were "quite high." Is Drop requesting that headbands be tighter on the collab versions? What's going on? Also, can anyone suggest me a comfortably wide/large headphones? I'm currently using AKG 7xx and they're super comfortable.
