While this aesthetic is amazing and this keyboard looks fantastic, I feel I must point out that the old Apple G4 era of Mac keyboards that used translucent casings like this really showed off dust and debris on the interior of the case over time. Would these easily disassemble for cleaning purposes?

If you have a crowbar, it's easy to disassemble

Sounds like there might be re-assembling issues then! 😂 I'll just keep waiting for that Quinto keyboard! 😁

Would be good if you could just answer the question straight and not ambiguously with sarcasm.

If any of you still following this thread. You should know that this crowbar thing was clarified on Discord. Apparently @muni_chang meant a small, delicate prying tool. But everyone here saw it to mean the board can't be disassembled.

Ahhhh okay, it got mixed up in translation then! Thank you for the clarification @zeero07 . I think the more accurate description should have been "spudger tool" in this case. I mean, there is quite a different mental image when it comes to spudger vs crow bar! 😆

Glad we got that all sorted, I agree the comment did come off the wrong way before. It still is a cool looking keyboard though.

I pointed out exactly what you wrote up there in the Discord channel. I think it's easy to understand as someone who's fluent in English that the reply came off as a sarcastic "no". But someone started an argument with me to say that people like you and I are wrong, that it is "stupid" and "insane" to assume this interpretation, and we should have clarified? In the end everyone piled on me saying I was arrogant. ???

Well, I’m with you. A bit of a tangent here, but I sell contractor grade tools in my day job. Much like how “Q-Tips” is a brand name that gets used for all cotton swabs in general, you have that in tools: “Skilsaw” gets used for circular saws, “Sawzall” gets used for reciprocating saws, and I’ve noticed that many guys from the southern states will use “Unibit” for step drill bits - so there are regional differences but it’s all well and good when you are familiar with the product. The problem is when not-so professionals come in and use the incorrect name or aren’t specific at all. Some folks ask for a “chop saw” when they really mean a “miter saw.” (Chop saws cut metal, miter saws generally cut wood.” Even just saying they want a “sander” is vague. Orbital sander? Sheet sander? Belt sander? Drum sander? Spindle sander? Do you want hand held, bench top, or floor standing? You need to be specific because there’s a world of difference in what a word can mean to someone. If someone had been told they need a “crow bar” to open their keyboard, and came into my place of work looking for a crow bar.... that’s exactly what I would have shown them. And they would in no short order realize that is not the right tool for the job. We get customers popping in often who have run all run all over town looking for the solution to a problem where they didn’t know what they needed, and this could usually be avoided if they were informed correctly in the first place. It can avoid confusion, hassle, and in some cases money. Okay, that’s the end of my little soapbox spiel. 😉

I honestly confused the original, official reply as an unnecessarily snide remark. You can see as much from my first comment. I can see to your immense credit, you chose to ignore the sarcasm. Could I have given muni the benefit of doubt and asked him again? Yes, but honestly it did not occur to me. How would I have known that his English isn't perfect? Nothing in the short reply suggests so. I think putting the blame on us as being expected to clarify is really far-fetched. I tried to tell the other party that he was viewing the situation as a non-native English speaker, that's why he is more cognizant of the possibility of mistranslation, but he wasn't having it.

Yeah, while I did presume Muni to have China or Asian origins based on some posts from years ago, I did interpret the reply the same way you did initially. I simply reduced the exchange to, “this board isn’t for me then. “ I’m happy to discover it was just a misinterpretation of the message. Just goes to show how words do matter and we all should seek to be more detailed for the sake of clarity. Especially on the Internet where all the world can be the audience of those words, with so much room for levels of interpretation and understanding. Which, you know, kind of proves our point. 😉

More GMK sets that a made for TKL, 65% like the GMK Red samurai
I've recetnly purchased the 65% set for the red samurai, and I would really love to order more. However, sets like GMK blue samurai, GMK laser, GMK gaijin, etc. don't have this option. The price for 65% is so good for what I've gotten and I would love to see more of this being implemented for other GMK sets. I would buy way more sets.

Drop ALT: Quality Garbage PCB
Yeah this is what your PCB will look like after a simple hotswap. Yet another garbage pins with even more godawful garbage PCB design. Two pins dead. One, I can trace the godawful traces and solder it. The other, the PCB goes f*ck-god-knows-where and after trying several times, all failed. Don't you just love a spacebar-less keyboard? Absolute quality. And "customer sUpPoRt" won't issue a replacement PCB nor admit fault so here's another f-cking $75 for a brand new Alt PCB which they claim iT iS NoT CoMpAtIbLe just so I can have a goddamn keyboard to use. Consider that the last buck I'll ever give you. Maybe next time hire someone with an actual degree to design your PCBs so people can actually do something with it when your godawful pins fall out which seems like inevitable.
