Posh Camping Pics: Sites Tom Haverford Would Approve Of

Ultralight back country camping definitely isn't for everyone, and even those of us that have been known to hit the trail for a few days with nothing more than a single pack can still enjoy a nice posh 'camp' site that even Tom Haverford would approve of..
So lets share our posh camping pics! I know I've visited and stayed at plenty of places that just aren't quite made for posting to some of the other Outdoors and Ultralight threads. Nice rustic cabins, sweet shelters at parks, tents with TV's, with posh camping the lines between indoors and outdoors are truly blurred!

Reminds me of a yurt I enjoyed in Lagunitas some years back:

If you have $2,300 there is always the new Skyline 144 from Springbar.

Recently went to Zion with some friends and ‘glamped’ a few nights at Under Canvas. It was a great spot and the perfect amount of ‘roughin it for our gals roadtrip to some of our fine National Parks. A few photos from the adventure:

Common area tent. They had a full kitchen that served comfort food like burgers and pulled pork sammies. And beer and wine...hard-earned after 8 hours hiking the Left Fork (Subway) Trail.

One of my favorite 'camping' spots was an old cabin up in the northern NC mountains. The cabin overlooked the New River, so tubing and fishing were a must.

The porch was magnificent, and any time I wasn't on the river was spent on the porch in some nice old homemade rocking chairs.
Inside just reeked of 80's nostalgia. Ugly furniture, my full collection of home recorded Andy Griffith Show episodes on VHS, and a nice fireplace that provided any and all heating.

It might not have been traditional 'camping' but the few luxuries the cabin provided really helped me get outside and truly connect with the surroundings in a way I generally don't when I'm just hiking through an area. Sadly, there was no internet or cell service, so Tom probably wouldn't be down with this place.
