I still don't understand what makes this an "IEM" as opposed to just cheap JVC earbud you'd pick up at Walmart. Because that's what they look like. Is it just the detachable cable?l and the fact that they market them to audiophiles? Is it just the fact that the ear tip seals in your ear? Wouldn't that technically make Airpod Pros an IEM? It seems like JVC is just trying to overcharge for these cheap earbuds by throwing the term IEM in the name.

Is it that you cannot understand why different brands sell items at different price points or even why the same manufacturer have different price points or are you asking that you cannot understand why people buy items that are higher priced because they are perceived to be better. Both questions come down to the same point - better products are more expensive to make, and some people are willing to pay for that quality. If you cannot afford a better product or cannot appreciate the quality of a better product, then don't buy it. People who want better quality will buy the earbuds, or iem's, here. You can save a lot of money by buying a used Yugo, but there is a reason why Yugo is no longer in business in the US, and it is more than just status and advertising. If those $20 sound better to your ears than these $180 iem's, enjoy and save money. Just know that there are a lot of people who think that the $180 iem's sound better and are worth it. And that if you should buy that used Yugo, don't expect it to last long before breaking down and good luck getting parts.

I don't understand what makes a Porsche 911 a world class sports car, when a Toyota Yaris also has four wheels, an engine, and a steering wheel. Gosh, seems like Porsche is just overcharging because I can buy something that does the same thing as a 911 for a fraction of the cost. Get real lol

The Earth is flat and both JFK's assassination and US Astronauts landing on the moon are grand conspiracy theories, as are "IEM's." Like calling a cheap earbud an IEM, it's all smoke and mirrors. It's JVC's attempt at parting fools, of which there is one born every minute, from zis money. BTW...I still don't understand why you ignored the obvious attack over an international electronics conglomerate ignoring decades of ecoterrorists hiding sawblades inside live trees to intentionally kill and maim loggers, akshual criminals, using wood to innovate sustainable manufacturing processes to make sound producing diaphragms. This is a cheap price for these earbuds. That it is expensive to you is a personal issue no one else is concerned with. One obvious suggestion is to find a professional to share your ignorance with. Paying someone to listen to this level of trollery and offer options on how to deal with it is itself both an outstanding option and a responsible practice.

I am going to assume you do not understand what makes IEMs like these cost so much more than the ones you buy for $20 at WalMart. My next guess is a troll post. They may look similar, but better materials, more difficult construction, much more QC, and less sales mean that these sell for more. Oh, and then there is the little detail that they sound much better. That is the whole point.

Maybe do a little research before you ask the world such a question. A repackaged 20 dollar IEM? These have absolutely nothing in common with them besides they both create sound.

Yes. Airpods Pros are TWS IEMs.
