Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

And despite the PM-3 having a fair amount of Pad surface area on my ears (I owned one and so did my wife at one point), if I got the angle just right it had some of the best comfort of any closed headphone meant for on-the-go use I’ve owned. I don’t recall the headband being an issue for me, just the eventual heat build-up that seems inevitable with any earpad. Speaking more generally about ear pads, I haven’t really observed a company “solve” heat build-up yet, though fenestrations or hybrid pads have made a nice big advancement, and Dekoni has posted hints on social media about a variant of their upcoming Sony pads that has some new kind of way to deal with heat.
The one time I had enough money, I had to decide between buying the PM-2 and a Sennheiser HD 800, and I chose the HD 800. I definitely do not regret the decision, but ideally I wish I could have both, and I worry that they will all be gone by the time our household has more income than just enough to pay our expenses.
I'd agree about the comfort of the PM-3. I was referring to other users that have had the padding disintegrate. I think it happens mostly in hot, humid climates. Thankfully, this hasn't happened to my pair.
