What metal keycaps (MX) are out there?

more_vert
Considering the BOX keys debacle, I figured it'd be a smart thing to have a metal keycap to adjust any future "slightly too thick" switch stems. (Actually, I'd like to see a group by for 'em). I've found some from RAMA and some on thingiverse, but I don't need 'em to look pretty and I don't know if a 3D printed cap will be hard enough. So, what's available?

Better yet, buy a nice pair of calipers and return any switches that are out of spec like boxes were. I love mech keyboards and the community, but if we're buying brand new switches it shouldn't be up to us to have to modify them back to standards that have been in place since before companies like Kailh existed.

LevelSteamOccupational hazard I'm afraid, I'm a programmer/sysadmin. Even with the source, sometimes all you can do is work around whatever it is.

Alternatively, I've been using a very small flat head screwdriver bit (leatherman charge) to scrape out excess plastic from the sides of the stem that are too thick. It takes me about ~2-3 min a switch to scrape, test fit, scrape some more, test fit and clean it up.
