FAQ What are the odds with the coupons? 70% of a $20 coupon, 15% of a $30 coupon, 10% of a $40 coupon, 4% of a $50 coupon and 1% of a $100 coupon. How will I know if there will be keycaps I want to buy over the next 12 months? We are working on providing more transparency into our keycap set planning so that you can make as informed a decision as possible.  Once I sign up, where can I see my coupon value? You can login and check the value of your coupon on the Keycap Club Members page any time. Can I cancel get a refund once I sign up?  No, there will be no refunds once you sign up. After signing up, yes you may cancel the subscription to prevent it autorenewing at the end of the 12 months. Can I stack my monthly coupon with my Drop rewards points? Yes, you can. Where/how do I sign up? The Drop Keycap Club program is planned to launch in late September, at which point you can add the membership to your cart like a normal item and check out as usual. Can I use my Drop rewards points on the membership price? Unfortunately not, but we will be issuing a coupon code for $20 off as mentioned above and you will also receive Drop reward points from checking out. Where can I see a list of the keycaps currently for sale? Right here: https://drop.com/mechanical-keyboards/drops/?sc=keycaps

How much is it? $69 a year but for the first year it will be $49 after using the discount code. For 12 months. Total. Like, $4 a month. 4 dollars and 8 cents. Where can I see upcoming keycap sets? For now you can check them out here: https://drop.com/talk/94288/the-keycap-roadmap?discussion=true

AlexPkSo these coupons can be applied to any keycap purchase, correct? Including in-stock sets like the GMK Laser drops from earlier this year

smsharkAny keycap purchase with a total keycap value over $100. GMK Laser, WoB, MT3 Jukebox, SA Oblivion, etc. would all apply. You can mix and match, and say, buy a $60 GMK Laser Kit, and a $50 MT3 Ortho kit. Novelties and Artisans apply so you can always fill your cart up with charity keycaps if you're not quite at $100 (100% proceeds to St Judes). You can't buy a $150 headphone, and a $60 GMK Laser kit, because that isn't $100 of keycaps.

AlexPkNovel idea but I am not going to gamble for a chance of a decent coupon. It just doesn’t seem on surface level like a deal.

WikkiYeah it's not for everyone for sure, but if you plan on getting even 3 keycap sets in that 12 month period then you would come out ahead. $50 for the 12 month membership and a minimum of $60 in coupons. For our part, we're going to do our best to be as transparent as possible with our planned keycap launches. That way you can know in advance if you'll want to make those 3 purchases.

AlexPkBut the membership is only $50 with a coupon? At the full price of $69 this makes no logical sense to purchase unless you really wanna gamble that 30% chance of getting something more than a $20 coupon. Also, the fact that you then need a minimum cart total of $100 is beyond nonsense. So I pay $50 ($69 after the initial offering) to get a random coupon that I then have to use on a cart that is $100+ if there are even keycaps I want that month. And what if you finally get a better coupon than $20 (very unlikely) but don't want any of the offerings that month? Honestly, seems way too convoluted and could've been so much simpler. Coupons do not have a real value. Would've been a way better idea to just have a monthly or bimonthly Loot Crate style box where you get different keycaps or keyboard accessories.

AlexPkCool idea but like others have said, not many good sets have been on drop. Why get 12 vouchers when you have never even sold 12 good sets. Nephlok is good but mito was a one hit wonder. Will you get more good designers or is it just going to be the mito show for me to not spend money each month. To date, WOB has been the best set sold at drop. Tell us what is coming and we will pay that money. But so far, the lineup hasnt been great.

SurostuI agree on the marvel stuff. Why are all of these officially licensed sets (looking at the star wars ones over at Novelkeys too) just sooooo bland. The look cheap. and they often have pretty mediocre kitting and coverage. All for a price premium? Just no.

SurostuWOB isn't the best set sold on drop, not even close. GMK Laser, MT3 Susuwatari, GMK Red Samurai, MT3 /dev/tty, GMK Oblivion have all outsold WoB.

KevinIll bite for laser, but the rest? I wanna see numbers!! (And dont quote me those drop counters that include a count for any item in the buy). Oblivion is also nice but GMK V3 wasn't even sold at drop. You're missing the point. If we wanted those sets, we already have them. And from those only WOB and oblibion appeal to me. So 2/30+ sets. Like sell me this voucher thingo, i wanna know why i should buy it because i actually like the idea. If Novelkeys or cannonkeys did it, it would be an instant cop. But nothing sold at drop has been good for a while. Im hoping that changes and convinces me to buy this membership.

Surostu"If we wanted those sets, we already have them." > This is true for maybe 2% of the community. Many people have a long wish list that they need to buy/budget slowly for. Similar to my response to a few other commenters, I think this program is/should appeal to many people, but not everyone. The great part is that you can choose whether you join or not :)

KevinYeah makes sense *looks awkwardly at spreadsheet listing 20+ GMK/CRP/ePBT sets, only one of which is from drop*. Keen to see if you announce sets in advance. Geekhack does IC's. Even ONE image 3 months in advance for each set would be enough for me to buy. Like you're saying, we only need to buy 3 sets for it to be good value.

GeneralChaz9It's currently strictly keycaps, but it's on the whiteboard as an idea "add keyboard accessories to coupon eligibility". (no promises, but it'll probably happen soon).

AlexPkI would love to join this membership, however since I'm located not in the USA, and the shipping vendor you use is FedEx which so expensive when it comes to the fee that I need to bear to pay them. Would love to see another option, like DHL, UPS, SF Express, or other reliable shipping vendor with reasonable fee

AlexPkI live in the UK and purchased my first board, switches, and key caps recently. The amount I paid for shipping and custom fees was much higher than expected, which led to me cancelling a set of pre-ordered keycaps. Will there be any discounts on shipping/custom fees for international members?

AlexPkThis seems like a great idea. What are the odds for being picked up as a reviewer for unreleased products ? Also is there any kind of region limitations ? D:

AlexPkThe membership idea seems reasonable but the execution may be not so much. A monthly cupon vs a keycaps set that may or not be good to me. If i don´t like any set I will lost the cupon, this doesn´t looks fair to me, I want to be able to use a cupon when I find a keycap set that is to my liking, not only limited to that month choices. because it feels like I am loosing money every month. I prefer having a yearly cupon that I can use it with any set that I may find attractive that year instead of this monthly obligation to use it or loose it. The cupon odds seems fair enough, but the montly limitation is not, i f I got a 20% cupon I want to be able to use it in a keycap set that I like and not only the monthly choices. As I said before it feels that Im loosing money or worst, that I am obligated to use the cupon so I don´t loose the money. I think that is an aspect you should polish a little more.

DaeronicusYou make a decent point, I think. If you randomly get a 100USD coupon, you'll feel the bite harder if there aren't any keycaps you like. That said, one _could_ buy a GMK set for 100USD cheaper, then turn around and sell it to someone else.

nazzy123That's true, one could buy a set with reselling in mind, but I think that´s is not the point here. We buy keycaps set because we like building keyboards or customizing our own. Sure, must be someone that think at Drop as a provider but I belive that is not the reality for the majority of their users, at least in the MK scene. And you said it, a 100 usd coupon will bite huge if you can't spend it on a set you like and being limited to something you are not entirely happy with. Now, if those coupons are 3 or 4 month long, that could be something else. There is more chance to find a set you like in a 3-4 month period than in just one month, and take in account that some of us can´t spend 100 usd every month in keycaps, so for me this seems more reasonable.
