HaVoCTzuHow much better are your Blue fostex compared to your PH? I really really like the purplehearts, maybe even more than my Focal Elex Now would a pair of TH900 be the end game for closed cans? 4 X the price... Is this THAT much better? I want them really but it's a lot of coins

There is a big difference between the purpleheart and the Blue. Blue is much more clear, has more accurate bass (and the best bass of all my headphones) I also have a balanced silver dragon cable which Gives he headphones even more detail and makes it sound (kind of like the 820) but it loses some bass, so I actually prefer it unbalanced on thE blue’s. I use the blue for casual listening. Purplehearts are loud and made for rocking out
since the sennheisers have better soundstage and imaging they are my favorite.
none of these cans have great sound isolation. you may want to look into Mr. Speakers closed cans.

HaVoCTzuI feel like taste plays a rôle as well, and I do love those fostex drivers, Yeah my Focal Elex are my best pair and they do sound more open and accurate. But can I admit that I have something for these paper drivers? (or bio-cellulose, whatever that mean, they are paper to me). It goes for the whole range, at the gym I used the smallish EMU Purpleheart also based on a smaller foster driver and in all honestly i like them very very much. Is that a crime to say I enjoy these 75$ cans as much as my HD-6XX? Just like the tone they give me, On that same line of tought, there is no doubt to me that between HD-6XX (or 650) and my TH-X00, it's a no contest Fostex all the way I do need this bottom end. That tightness. That Dynamic.I did hear other hi-end closed, like the 820, or sony Z1r, but always at shows, with music I didn't know well, and people around waiting so it's just not enough to judge properly. Actually the sony made me smile and close my eyes and enjoy more than the Senns, which goes against the elite reviewers trend.... Again, something about the paper (my speakers have paper cones as well). That's why, considering my taste TH900 might be my ultimate, or end game, but in the mean time I might go for the Ebony variant, I'd like to spend some quality time with the Flagships either the Sonys or Fostex because I know that's what I'm into

Pierre111The Sennheisers took me about 3 days of listening for my brain to finally adjust to them.
i always wanted to try the z1r, never got to. Always been a Sony fan.
The MK2 is more ‘enjoyable’ then any of my other cans, but less accurate than the sennheisers.
if I want to listen to music in the background while I am working I use the MK2 Sapphire blue.

HaVoCTzuUpdate: I have heard the Focal Utopias, and I do like them better then all of my other headphones. I guess I am a detail freak and didn’t know it until I heard them. I still have not heard any Stax but I am very curious about the L700 and Sr-009S, i’ll Probably have to goto cam-Jam just to hear them, want to see if I like them better than the Utopias.

Xduoo Poke II repair
Hi friends, I recently had a mishap with my Xduoo Poke II, that is, it fell out of my hands and now it turns on but the command buttons now work sometimes and sometimes not. I have written several times to Xduoo directly because it was with them that I bought this Dac and to find out what I can do about it but after two months I have not received a response. I live in Mexico City but I would like to know if anyone knows of a technical service in the US that could repair my Poke II and know if it would be worth it for me taking into account the cost of repair and the issue of shipping, or if it is better to think about buying a new portable Dac. It's not done, I apologize for the mess. Health issues have put this on hold. It's a small room and I'm likely to sell off my KEF 104.2 loudspeakers and some other gear after surrendering the living room to my wife after her patience of 35 years. She deserved her own little sanctuary.

I made the decision to take advantage of the $600. price on the HiFiMan Arya Stealth, here pictured with the Meze 109 Pro. I think 2025 is going to be a really uneventful year so far as new purchases. I've also upgraded my Fiio BTR7 to the newly released BTR17 and I purchased the Earmen stack which consists of Amplifier, Linear PS, DAC & Streamer.

Refusal to take responsibility.
Hi, Just thought I would make a note here of your handling of my issues. I ordered a pair of HD6xx headphones and then earlier today recieved the package. I drive to go and get it, as I like in the UK I had to pay import tax and handling fees. These total £47.92. The breakdown being £35.92 in tax and £12 in fees. These taxes were calculated of the shipping label of the box, which marked the shipment as the 6xx headphones of $199 value. Before leaving the parcel depot, I open the box to find a $35 lord of the rings mousepad. So now the problem is not only do I not have the headphones, but you have marked the shipment wrong so I have paid £47.92 fees for the handling of the mousepad. Which would have acrued £0 of fees if marked correctly as it is under £135. I go back to the desk but as I have already paid the fees I am unable to reject the shipment, but as the box said 6xx, there was no way for me to know before opening it. I contact support and they offer me a replacement, which...

Right ear keeps cutting out
So I have a PC38x headset that I bought a few years back. I moved away from home for work, and left the headset there with my gaming PC. I used it maybe 2 or 3 times before I left, and it always had the problem of it cutting out in my right ear phone. It makes like a crackling noise like something is loose, and then cuts out the audio entirely. Sometimes it works for a few minutes, but inevitably cuts out on the right side again. I am wondering if there is a fix? Or could I be shipped a new one?

Please suggest headphones for me.
Please someone here help buy a headphone for my use case- listen mostly Indian music ( old and new Bollywood songs ) . play them on my iPhone. So need to be wireless. must be light and comfortable for small ears and 3-4 hours of listening. noise canceling is not important. budget is around $150. i am not audiophile by any means and do not understand much of the jargon. Just want something that sounds good and is comfortable on my ears while I work from home. thank you all.

pc38x still has audio coming through with the volume dial turned all the way down
Finally got my hands on the pc38x. I mostly wanted to try this headset because of all the good things i heard about it. Out of the box i wasn’t really impressed. My 50 dollar astros were just as loud if not louder. After setting up an EQ on dolby access i got them sounding a little better. But one thing that really bothers me is the volume dial on the headset. When i turn it all the way down there’s so much audio still coming through, like the headset is turned up 10-20%. Is this normal?
