For those of you having trouble with your Drop CTRL (or possibly ALT) keyboard, there is a problem with the configurator tool. There are others on here reporting issues with the 1.0.6 loader and the configurator site creating .bin files (LattE0825 and Guywhoboughtthekeyboard, for example) The new base firmware the configurator tool uses breaks one of the USB ports (left one) on the CTRl keyboard. This firmware may also be the root cause for the other issues reported here for Windows use (not turning on on Windows restart). There is an open issue on mdloader's GitHub page: https://github.com/Massdrop/mdloader/issues/77#issuecomment-1093569163. I was able to resolve the issue by compiling my own default firmware (using the default keymap) from the qmk_firmware repo. This may work for you, if you are also having issues. Drop is aware of the issue and has escalated it to engineering.

We rolled out a fix earlier today. Try compiling again with our configurator and flashing your keyboard again. Thank you for your report and apologies again for the commenting issues.

I tried updating with the latest bin generated from the configurator tool using the QMK toolkit, but my left usb-c port on my Drop Alt isn't working still. The right port works perfectly fine, was this an issue that was resolved in the latest configuration compile?

This issue should be resolved with recompiled firmware with our web configurator. Are you sure the way you are flashing your keyboard with QMK Toolbox is correct? If not, use mdloader.

Yes, I have already tried both mdloader and QMK toolbox using the hard reset (back button) method rather than the soft reset (fn + b). Left usb was working fine until I used the firmware before the recent update. After flashing the most recent compile it still doesnt seem to work.

Yeah, wasn't able to figure out what the issue was after multiple recompiles and flashes using both the DFU function keys and hardware toggle on the keyboard. I've also got the additional issue of still getting the double letter issue when typing.

Drop Carina PCB DOA
Hello team. I purchased a frosted acrylic Drop Carina kit from Amazon (the seller was Amazon Services LLC) in late January of this year. I did not get around to buying the switches, plate and other required parts until just last week. I'm getting nothing when I plug in a USB cable. I am able to use the pin button to enter flash mode, yet flashing the firmware does not remedy the problem. I did nothing wrong to this PCB. I've treated it with the utmost care. There are no visual signs of damage on the PCB. My concern is that I've waited so long to open this thing, I'm beyond the return window and possibly even outside the warranty period. Not sure what the warranty period is. Does anybody here have any advice? Thanks.

Love The Look, But Too Much Work To Make It Feel Right, Strange Key Layout
This is probably my favorite overall board in terms of the look of it. In terms of the feel, it has taken so much work to make this a "useable" keyboard. I really couldn't have known how unhappy I would be with the standard keycap set till I bought it. But they use such a weird combination of sizes for the left shift, left CTRL and space bars that using anything other than the stock keycaps requires at least 3 and possibly 4 sets depending on which set you use. Pictured is the YMDK Split 64 and T0MB3RY SA CARBON dual alphas and modifiers, along with a random key from my Dancer set because no left shift from the T0MB3RY kit would fit. Sitting on top of the Chenyi Good Wishes desk mat, which has gotten more abuse than my other mats but is still my favorite.
