My question is are they better than KZ AZ09 which have horrible bluetooth signal drop. I love my IEM's but have yet not been able to find a cordless solution. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't had a satisfactory experience with any of the earhooks, but here is my 2 cents. The KZ have the most output, I like the ibasso CF01 the best but only with sensive IEM's, I have little time for the fiio UTWS3 or TRN BT20S PRO, I don't use them as I prefer the Ibasso with sensitive IEM's although both are similar. Most IEM's I have demand too much power for earhooks. If you are running something demanding ie P1's you have 2 options both non ear hook the ifi GoBlu or the IKKO ITB05. There are other wired bt options but I can't comment on them.

I can say that out of all of the bluetooth attachments I've tried the AZ09 were the worst for bluetooth reception. I'm a huge fan of the TRN BT20S (non-pro) and the only problem I have is with sweat intrusion. I have to seal the seam on the back of the unit with superglue. So one thing I noticed as well is that if you have an old version of the AZ09 the contacts on the back of the unit are flush with the plastic. When my skin becomes wet from working out they drop signal even more. I made a fix by taking some heatshrink and creating a little sleeve that slips over the contacts, helps but still some of the worst signal drop. If you have the newer version they're ever so slightly recessed, this helps but didn't solve the frequent drop problem. Still the worst of all my different TWS solutions. Fiio UTWS01 are nice but the UI (user interface, button click patterns) kinda sucks, but best sound and Bluetooth connectivity, same sweat issue as the BT20S.
